Explosive Text
Tutorial in Advanced, Effects, In Text
This is a great tutorial! We will create an explosive text in Photoshop. You might remind the text from some action movies, since it’s used in those movies.
Open a new document (600×250px).
Write the text. If you can, use a thick font.
Rasterize the text. ((Layer))-((Rasterize))-((Type)).
With ((Polygonal Lazo Tool)), select part of the text.
Then, with ((Move Tool)), drag it towards outside as I did in the image below.
Repeat the 2 previous steps several times in order to get the following result:
Duplicate the layer. Merge the one that is above the original invisible and go to the original one.
Apply ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Radial Blur)). ((Amount)): 100%, ((Method)): Zoom. ((Quality)): Best.
Duplicate the layer two times. Go to the second duplicated layer. Reduce the ((opacity)) to 47% and change the layer style to ((Dissolve)). Take a look at the image below.
Create a ((new layer)) and place it below the others. Fill it in with black.
Finally, paint all the layers with the same color except for the one on top.
