Creating Effect of Knitted Image
Tutorial in Advanced, Effects, In Photos
This is a fabulous and original effect of a knitted woman. If you have the worst pulse in the world, this is the tutorial you are looking for. The keys for the tutorial will be the use of brush, layers, and blending mode.
Open the image. You can download it from here.
Select ((Pen Tool)) and trace the model’s contour.
Press Ctrl + Enter to transform the trace into selection.
Then go to ((Edit))-((Copy)) and open a new document (800×600px and transparent background).
Then go to ((Edit))-((Paste)).
Once you have pasted the body, adapt it as shown in the image below.
Now add a degraded background.
Select ((Gradient Tool)), ((Lineal Gradient)), and trace a gradient from top to bottom using these colors: #1f1313, #3a2824, #583c2e, #896942.
It should look like this.
Create a ((New Layer)), fill it in with black, and place it between the lady’s layer and the degraded background’s.
Then apply ((Filter))-((Noise))-((Add Noise)).
Change the layer style to ((Color Dodge)).
Now change the lady’s layer mode to ((Hard Light)).
Create a ((New Layer)) and place it in between the lady’s and the background layer.
Select ((Brush Tool)), 1px, black, and draw distorted lines pointing to different points in the lady and outside, as shown in the following image.
Then press Alt + Click in between the lady’s layer and the lines’ layer. It’s pointed with red in the following image.
Now, you will need to stand in the lines’ layer and, with a rounded brush, black, and ((Hardness)):l 0%, paint the skin so that the image is a little cleaner.
Finally, go to the model’s layer and, with ((Erase Tool)), ((Hardness)): 0%, erase part of the inferior area.
Done. This is all the tutorial, I hope you liked it.
See you soon!
