Creating Halloween Pumpkin
Tutorial in Advanced, Drawing, Various
This time I bring to you a tutorial that is ideal for Halloween. We will create a pumpkin with a horrifying face!
Open a new document, 512×512px, and black background.
With ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)), create a circular selection in the center of the document and fill it in with white.
Then go to ((Layer))-((Layer Style))-((Blending Options)).
Click OK.
Now create a ((new layer)). Ctrl + Click the head selection and activate it.
Go to the ((new layer)) and then go to ((Select))-((Modify))-((Contract)) (Radius: 8px).
Fill in the new selection with white. Take a look at the following image to see how it should look.
Reduce the ((Fill)) to 0%. Then ((Layer))((Layer Style))((Stroke)).
Does it look like this? Keep going!
Create a ((new layer)).
With ((Pen Tool)), draw the eye just like it’s shown in the following image and fill it in with white.
To create the right eye, duplicate the layer and transform it. ((Edit))((Transform))((Flip Horizontal)).
In the new layers, create the nose and the mouth. I recommend you to use ((Pen Tool))
Stand in the first eye layer you created and in ((Layer Style)), apply ((Gradient Overlay)).
Copy the ((Layer Styles)) In the other layers. Stand in the layer you applied ((Gradient Overlay)) to, right click, and choose((Copy Layer Style)). Go to the layer you want to apply the same effect to, and choose ((Paste Layer Style)).
Don’t worry, but it should look like this hahaha.
You just need to create a reflection.
Create a ((new layer)).
Create a circular selection in the superior part of the head and fill it in with white.
Finally, double click the layer and, in the ((Blending Options)), choose ((Gradient Overlay)) (white to transparent).
Happy Halloween!
