Shinny Tentacles Effect

This is a great, as well as easy effect. It’s about creating some kind of shinny tentacles. We will use ((Blending Options)), ((Radial Blur)), and ((Hue/Saturation)).
Open a new document (700×700px and transparent background).
Select ((Gradient Tool)) and trace a radial gradient using these colors: #a40101 and #6c0000.
Create a ((New Layer)).
With ((Rectangular Tool)), trace a rectangle as the one you see below.
Press Ctrl + T and then focus in the following image. Click the right side, the one that’s pointed with a red arrow and is named ((Warp Modes)), and choose ((Flag)). Enter the values that appear to the right.
Double-click to go to ((Blending Options)).
((Gradient Overlay)).
((Satin)).
Save the changes.
Duplicate the layer two times (Ctrl + J) and reduce the size to all of them. Take a look at the image below.
Select the three layers and drag them into ((Create aNew Layer)).
With the 3 duplicated layers selected, press Ctrl + T, then right-click it, and choose ((Flip Horizontal)).
Select the six layers and press Ctrl + E to unify them.
Duplicate the recently unified layer (Ctrl + J). Press Ctrl + T again, then right-click it and choose ((Flip Vertical)).
Select all the layers except for the background one and press Ctrl + E to unify them.
Go to menu ((Fiter))-((Blur))-((Radial Blur)). ((Blur Method)): Zoom, ((Amount)): 100%, ((Quality)): Best.
Duplicate the layer (Ctrl +J) and rotate it with Ctrl + T (90º).
Change the layer style to ((Luminosity)).
Select ((Erase Tool)), ((Flow)): 50%, and erase the central area of the tentacles, from top to bottom. Take a look at the image below and compare it with the one above.
Go to the superior layer and go to ((Layer))-((New Adjustment Layer))-((Hue-Saturation)). Enter the following values:
IMPORTANT: Don’t forget to activate ((Colorize)).
