Open the image.

Select ((Pen Tool)) and trace the actor’s contour.

Press Ctrl + Enter to transform the trace into selection.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Fill it in with black.

Merge the layer you just filled in invisible. In order to do so, click the eye that appears next to the layer.

Now with ((Pen Tool)), draw the trace of the white shirt.

Press Ctrl + Enter to transform the trace into selection.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Fill in the selection with white.

Merge the shirt layer invisible.

Now trace the left side of the untied bun.

Now press Ctrl + Enter to transform the trace into selection.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Fill in the selection with white.

Merge this layer invisible.

Now trace the contour of the right side of the untied bun.

Create a ((New Layer)) and fill it in with black.

Merge all the layers visible.

You will have a partial result:

Create a ((New Layer)) and place it between the image and the actor’s contour. Take a look at the image below.

Stand in the layer, select ((Gradient Tool)), ((Linear Gradient)), and trace a vertical gradient as the one you see below, using: #931314 and #000000.

Open the following image in Photoshop. You can download it by clicking HERE.

Press Ctrl + A to select the whole image and Ctrl + C to copy it.

Go back to the document and paste (Ctrl + V) the background underneath the actor’s silhouette.

Reduce the ((Opacity)) to 15%.

Open the following image. You can download it by clicking HERE.

Select ((Magic Wand Tool)), ((Tolerance)) 20% and click the black area of the image to select it.

Invert the selection. ((Select))-((Inverse)).

Copy it (Ctrl + C).

Go back to the document and paste it (Ctrl + V).

Place it in the lower part of the document and reduce the ((Opacity)) to 40%.

Open the image with the title of the movie. You can download it by clicking this link: http://www.caminocreativo.com/images/casino_royale/casino-royale.jpg

Press Ctrl + A to select the entire image.

Copy it (Ctrl + C)………

….and paste it (Ctrl + V) into the document.

Finally change the layer style to ((Lighten)) to eliminate the black background.

Now the “Casino Royale” theme is created. See you soon.

Open the following image, you can download it from this LINK.

Duplicate the layer (Ctrl + J).

Double click the duplicated layer to apply ((Layer Styles)).

((Satin)).

((Gradient Overlay)). Choose “Spectrum” since it comes by default in Photoshop.

Don’t accept the changes yet.

Move the ((Layer Styles)) windows downwards.

Click the document to move the gradient; the gradient must begin in the eye.

Accept the changes.

Select ((Pen Tool)) to draw a trace surrounding the eye.

Press Ctrl + Enter to transform the trace into selection.

Then go to ((Select))-((Modify))-((Feather)): 15px.

Stand in the duplicated image, the one you applied ((Layer Styles)) to, and press delete.

This is the final result.

Select ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)) and create a selection as the one you see below.

Go to ((Layer))-((New))-((Layer via Copy)).

As you can see in the image below, the selection was copied into a different new layer.

Now go to ((Edit))-((Transform))-((Perspective)). With this type of transformation, you will get the following result.

Press Enter to accept.

Double click the layer to apply ((Layer Styles)).

((Drop Shadow)).

((Inner Shadow)).

((Inner Glow)).

Accept the changes and see the results in the following image.

Draw 4 more selections and apply the previous effects. ((Rectangular Marquee Tool, Layer Via Copy, Perspective, Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow)).

This is my result:

First of all you need the image of a person. I recommend you to choose a picture in which the person doesn’t have a hair-do nor the hair all over the face.

Desaturate the image. ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Desaturate)).

Select ((Pen Tool)) and trace the lady’s contour.

Press Ctrl + Enter to transform the trace into selection.

Then ((Select))-((Inverse)) to invert the selection. person

Press delete.

Create a ((New Layer)), fill it in with white and place it underneath the image.

Download the marble texture by clicking HERE and open it in Photoshop.

Desaturate the texture. ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Desaturate)).

Ctrl + Click the layer to activate the selection.

Stand in the texture layer and press delete.

Change the layer mode to ((Multiply)).

Select ((Dodge Tool)), ((Midtones)), 162px, ((Exposure)): 50%, and paint the lady’s layer to illuminate the face.

Reduce the texture’s ((opacity)) to 70%.

Select ((Pen Tool)) and trace a selection that covers the eye as shown in the following image.

Then use ((Clone Stamp Tool)) to clone the marble texture in the new selection (new layer).

It is important that the ((hardness)) is not bigger than 15%.

Deselect.

Stand in the eye layer.

Select ((Burn Tool)), ((Highlights)), ((exposure)): 40%, and paint the cloned eyes contour.

It is very important that the ((hardness)) of this tool is not bigger than 15%.

Also apply ((Burn Tool)) to the exterior part of the cloned eye. You can use the lady layer or the texture.

Repeat the same steps in the right eye.

Stand in the eyes layer and/or the lady’s image and apply ((Blur Tool)) in order for the eyes not to look like they are “pasted” into the woman.

Download the background texture by clicking HERE and open it in Photoshop.

Place the texture underneath the other statue layers and. Take a look at the following image.

Double click the lady layer to apply ((Layer Styles)) and apply ((Drop Shadow)).

Accept the changes and see the results in the image below.

Open a new document, 1024×768px, and transparent background.

Fill it in color #C3823E.

Apply ((Filter))-((Noise))-((Add Noise)).

Then ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Motion Blur)).

Press Ctrl + T to activate ((Free Transform)) and extend the background to the left and the to the right.

Double click the layer to open ((Layer Styles)) and apply ((Gradient Overlay)).

Accept the changes.

Before going on with the next step, you will have to download the file Apple.ai that has the shape and colors of “the Apple”.

Once you have downloaded it, open it in Adobe Illustrator.

Select the entire apple and press Ctrl + C to copy it.

Go back to the Photoshop document.

Press Ctrl + V and you will see a pop up that asks you to choose the type of paste. Choose “Pixels”.

Then select ((Polygonal Lasso Tool)) and trace the apple leave (as shown in the image below), right click the selection and choose ((Layer Via Cut)). You will cut, copy, and paste the selection into a new layer.

The apple and the leaf will be in separated layers.

Double click the apple layer to open ((Layer Styles)) and apply ((Stroke)). The colors you will use for this gradient: #B4B4B4 and #FFFFFF.

Accept the changes.

Move the leaf a few pixels upwards so that it’s not very close to the apple.

Double click the layer and apply ((Drop Shadow)).

Accept the changes.

Choose black as the foreground color.

Select the font Motter Tektura and write the Apple text with the values that appear below. If you don’t have the said font, download it by clicking this LINK.

Now press Ctrl + T to activate ((Free Transform)) and rotate the text until it looks like this.

Stand int he text layer and go to ((Layer))-((Layer Style))-((Blending Options)).

((Drop Shadow)).

((Stroke)).

Accept the changes.

Finally, you will have to fix the holes that appear in the letter “a”.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Select ((Polygonal Lasso Tool)) and create a selection as the one that appears below.

Choose white as the foreground color.

Now with ((Brush Tool)), 50px, and ((hardness)): 50%, paint the selection with white.

Deselect (Ctrl + D).

Done!

Open the image of the car. As you will, the ventilation is completely black.

Select ((Polygonal Lazo Tool)), ((Add To Path Area)). What you will do is to trace the car’s ventilation.

Before going on, download this brush by clicking HERE.

Choose #252525 as the foreground color.

Then select ((Brush Tool)) and install it.

Now paint inside the selections.

Adding a ventilation mesh to a car is just simple!

Open the image you want to sharpen. You can download it by clicking HERE.

Duplicate the layer (Ctrl + J).

Desaturate the duplicated layer. Go to ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Desaturate)).

Then ((Filter))-((Other))-((High Pass…))

Now go to ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Levels)).

Finally changes the layer style to ((Overlay)).

Open the image of this amazing Viper. You can download it by clicking HERE.

Desaturate the image. ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Desaturate)).

((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Levels)).

Create a ((New Layer)).

Go to ((Edit))-((Fill)): 50% Gray.

Now apply ((Filter))-((Noise))-((Add Noise)).

Then ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Motion Blur)).

Go to ((Edit))-((Transform))-((Skew)) to deform the layer like this:

Change the layer style to ((Linear Light)).

Create a ((New Layer)) and repeat the 4 previous steps except transform. (Fill, Noise, Motion Blur, Linear Light).

I liked the final result, I hope you liked it too.

Open the image.

Create a new layer.

Press D to reset the colors to black and white.
Apply ((Filter))-((Render))-((Clouds)).

Place the layer with clouds underneath the image.

Change the layer style to ((Color Burn)).

Select both layers and press Ctrl + E to unify them in an independent layer.

Duplicate the unified layer (Ctrl + J).

Apply ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Desaturate)).

Change the layer style to ((Hard Light)).

Select ((Dodge Tool)), ((Exposure)) 30% and paint the lips and eyes to clear them.

Finally, reduce the ((Opacity)) to 50%.

Done!

Before getting started let me tell you, if you have never used ((Clone Stamp Tool)), that it takes some time to get familiar with the tool, so don’t go insane. With a little bit of practice you will get very good results.I worked with this image:

With ((Clone Stamp Tool)) (size: 30px -40px, hardness: 0%) Alt + Click an area of the face that is not wrinkled, and that has the same light than the area you want to correct. In the following image I pointed the area you are going to Alt + Click with a red circle.

Then go to the wrinkled area (also pointed with a red circle)…

…simply click and you will see that it cloned the part we selected in the previous step.

Keep correcting areas.

In the image below, you can see the side of the eye corrected.

Finally, eliminate the nose wrinkles repeating the same procedure.

This person must feel much younger after this tutorial, don’t you think?

Practice a lot and do it every day so you can get better results…greets!

Open the image.

Duplicate it (Ctrl + J).

Create a ((New Layer)) and fill it in with color #E0A900.

Change the layer style to ((Soft Light)).

Select both superior layers and press Ctrl + E to unify them.

Stand in the unified layer and apply ((Filter))-((Distort))-((Diffuse Glow)).

This was a very simple effect. Here you can see the final result.

Open a new document, 800×600px, and black background.

Now apply ((Filter))-((Noise))-((Add Noise)).

Duplicate the layer (Ctrl + J).

Change the layer style of the duplicated layer to ((Color Dodge)).

Select the 2 layers and press Ctrl + E to unify them.

In the unified layer, create a ((Layer Mask)).

Create a ((New Layer)), fill it in with black and bring it to the background.

For those who don’t know what the ((Layer Mask)) is for, let me tell you. As you could see, when you created the mask, a white square appeared to the flank of the layer. The white color represents the visible areas of the layer, color black represents the opposite. If you paint with black, standing in the ((Layer Mask)), you will erase. If you paint with light grey you will partially erase, and so will happen if you paint with any color from white to black. You can also use black color and erase lowering the opacity, and this is what we will do.

Choose black as the foreground color.

Select ((Brush Tool)), size 300px, ((Hardness)): 0%, and ((Opacity)): 30px.

Stand in the ((Layer Mask)) and paint the document diagonally to eliminate the stars that appear in the corners.

See the result in the following image and see how the ((Layer Mask)) looks.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Select ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)) and create a selection as the one that appears below.

Fill it in with white.

Modify the ((Fill)) to this layer to 0%.

Double click the layer to apply ((Layer Styles)).

((Gradient Overlay)). Use these colors: #081828 to transparent.

Accept the changes.

Choose white as the foreground color.

Write the word “SHINE” or the one you want, using the font Futura LT BT. You can download it by clicking HERE.

For the text, use the values that appear pointed in the image below.

Duplicate the text layer (Ctrl + J).

Stand in the duplicated text layer and go to ((Edit))-((Transform))-((Flip Vertical)). Place it as shown below, since you want to make it look as the reflection of the original text.

Then to the duplicated layer, apply a ((Layer Mask)) and with a soft black brush and ((Opacity)): 30%, paint the ((Layer Mask)) until you see something like what appears in the following image.

Before going on, download this BRUSH of stars and install it.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Choose one of the brushes you downloaded and paint some shinny stars over the letters. See the result in the following image.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Select ((Pen Tool)) and draw some traces as the one that appears below.

Press Ctrl + Enter to transform the trace into selection.

Fill in the selections with white.

If these “spines” are in different layers, press Ctrl + E to unify them in an independent layer.

It is very important that they are in the same layer.

Stand in the “spines” layer and go to ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Motion Blur)).

Then ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Gaussean Blur)).

This will be our final result.

Open a new document, 600×600px, and black background.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Choose white as the foreground color.

Select ((Brush Tool)), 27px, ((Hardness)): 0%.

Paint some white spots in the document until you create the typical firework. It is important that there are more spots in the outer lines than in the inner ones.

Duplicate this layer (Ctrl + J).

Apply ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Radial Blur)).

As you can see the blur is a little bit exaggerated. In order to fix it, activate ((Free Transform)) (Ctrl + T) and reduce the blur keeping Alt + Shift pressed.

Select both layers and press Ctrl + E to unify them.

Duplicate the unified layer (Ctrl + J).

Standing in the superior unified layer, press Ctrl + U and apply ((Hue/Saturation)). Activate ((Colorize)).

Select both layers again and press Ctrl + E to unify them.

Then press Ctrl + L to edit ((Levels)). Move the black slider towards the right as shown in the following image.

Finally, double click the layer to open ((Layer Styles)) and apply ((Outer Glow)).

Accept the changes.

Done!

We will star with these images.

An arc…

…and a lady.

In the arc image apply ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Curves)).

After adjusting ((Curves)) you will have this result.

Open the image of the lady.

Select ((Pen Tool)) and trace the lady’s contour.

Once you have finished, press Ctrl + Enter to transform the trace into selection.

Go to ((Select))-((Modify))-((Feather)): 0,5px.

Then go to ((Edit))-((Copy)).

Go to the arc document and ((Edit))-((Paste)).

To reduce the lady’s size, use ((Free Transform)) (Ctrl + T).

Now press Ctrl + B to open the ((Color Balance)) window.

In Midtones use these values: -30, 0, 0.

Accept the changes.

Choose color #74C9DD as foreground and #000000 as background.

Create a ((New Layer)) and place it between the lady and the arc.

Change the layer style to ((Screen)).

Go to ((Filter))-((Render))-((Clouds)).

For the next step, download this BRUSH of moons and install it.

Create a ((New Layer)) and apply one of the moons in the middle of the arc.

Then reduce the ((Opacity)) to 50%.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Choose white as the foreground color.

Select ((Brush Tool)) size 45px – hardness: 0% and paint all around the moon and the lady. Take a look at the image below.

The apply ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Motion Blur)).

Download this BRUSH of stars and install it.

Create a ((New Layer)) and bring it to the front.

With ((Brush Tool)), draw the stars with different sizes as shown in the following image.

Now right click the layer to go to ((Layer Styles)) and apply ((Outer Glow)).

Accept the changes.

Now select all the layers and press Ctrl + E to unify them in a new different layer.

Then go to ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Brightness-Contrast)).

Finally press Ctrl + U to apply ((Hue/Saturation)).

Our result will be the following:

an image with a celestial fantasy style.

THe density adjustment allows you to increase or reduce the efficiency levels. I recommend you to preserve the luminosity since it keeps the bevels and midtones.

In the following steps I will show you how to create the adjustment with different densities.

Go to ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Photo Filter)).

Filter: Warning Filter (85), Density: 41%.

Density nº 2

Filter: Warning Filter (85), Density: 57%.

Density nº 3
