Vista Wallpaper
Tutorial in Basics, Drawing, Effects, Goodies, Web
In this tutorial you will learn to create a Windows Vista wallpaper. The most amazing is that you will create it from the image of a forest. We will apply ((Gaussean Blur)), layer styles, and we will use brushes.
Open the image you will work with. You can download it from HERE.
To this image, apply ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Gaussean Blur)).
Then apply a ((Adjustment Layer)). Go to ((Layer))-((New Adjustment Layer))-((Color Balance)). You will have to enter these values.
Shadows: -37, -40, 7
Midtones: 15, 62, 0
Highlights: 34, 0, 69
Accept the changes and save the result.
Create a ((New Layer)).
With ((Pen Tool)), trace a curved selection as shown in the following image.
Press Ctrl + Enter to transform it into selection.
Choose white as the foreground color.
Select ((Brush Tool)), 200px, ((Hardness)): 0% and paint 3/ 4 outside the selection so that you get the following result.
Change the layer style to ((Overlay)).
Finally, duplicate the layer 5 or 6 times and, with ((Free Transform)), rotate, transform the different line layers until you get this result.
