Open the car image.

Select ((Pen Tool)), ((Add to Path Area)), in order to trace the contours of both back lights of this VW.

Press Ctrl + Enter in order to transform the traces into selections.

Now go to ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Channel Mixer)).

Finally, go to ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Auto Levels)).

Done!
