Simple Abstract Image

Simple but effective tutorial of an abstract image. You will need to apply ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)),((Hue/Saturation)), layer styles, ((Transform)), and filters like ((Wind)), ((Polar Coordinates)), ((Motion Blur)).
Open a new document, 640×480px, and black background.
Create a ((New Layer)) and fill it in with black.
With ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)), draw a horizontal rectangle that occupies the entire width, and fill it in with white.
Go to menu ((Edit))-((Transform))-((Rotate 90º CW)).
Now apply ((Filter))-((Stylize))-((Wind)): Wind – From The Right.
Press Ctrl + F to repeat the effect.
Go to ((Filter))-((Stylize))-((Wind)). From The Left.
Press Ctrl + F to repeat the filter.
Place the rectangle in its original position. In order to do so, go to ((Edit))-((Transform))-((Rotate 90º CCW)).
Then go to ((Filter))-((Distort))-((Polar Coordinates)): Rectangular To Polar
Now ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Motion Blur)).
Press Ctrl + U to open the Hue/Saturation window. Select Colorize and enter the following values.
Then press Ctrl + T to activate ((Free Transform)). In the options bar, enter 35% for the height. Press Enter.
Duplicate this layer (Ctrl + J) and change its style to ((Screen)).
With ((Free Transform)), rotate the duplicated layer a few degrees.
Duplicate the layer again and rotate it a little bit.
We are trying to create some sort of star.
