Satin Background
Tutorial in Basics, Effects, Goodies, Various
This satin texture effect will surely remind you of Japanese anime, when the characters flew away, or ninja-kicked someone, and so on. There was a texture in the background which we will try to create now.
Open a new document (800×600px and transparent background).
Press D and then X so that white is set as the primary color and black as secondary.
Go to menu ((Filter))-((Render))-((Clouds)).
Now ((Filter))-((Render))-((Difference Clouds)).
Invert the image. ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Invert)).
((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Levels)). Move the mid tones slider button towards te right.
Now apply ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Motion Blur)). Enter the values that appear below, in the following image
Let’s color the texture. Press Ctrl + U to open the ((Hue-Saturation)) window. Activate Colorize and enter the values that appear below.
Duplicate the layer (Ctrl + J) and change the layer style to ((Color Dodge)).
It is a good idea (with cool results as well) to combine the background with a Ninja image.
