Reminder Note
Tutorial in Basics, Drawing, Effects, In Text
This is a tutorial for those forgetful persons, like me! We will create the classic note where you write reminders.
Open a new document (600×600px and white background).
Create a ((new layer)).
With ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)), draw a square selection as the one that appears below. Choose #f8dd4b as the front color and #fffca2 as the background one.
Select ((Gradient Tool)), ((Radial Gradient)), and trace the gradient diagonally, so that it looks like the one that you will see below.
Press Ctrl + T to ((Free Transform)) and rotate the paper 20º, approx.
Don’t press Enter yet.
With ((Free Transform)) still active, right-click and select ((Warp)). You will deform the paper as the arrows in the following image indicate.
Duplicate the layer (Ctrl + J) and desaturate it: ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Desaturate)).
Now apply ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Gaussean Blur)).
Let’s add the shadow. Place the desaturated layer below the other and, activating ((Free Transform)) and pressing and holding Ctrl, slide the corners as shown in the image below.
Now go to the note and apply ((Filter))-((Noise))-((Add Noise)).
Write the text using the Angelina font. You can download it here.
Rasterize the text by right clicking the name of the layer and choosing ((Rasterize Type)) from the drop-down menu.
Don’t forget to apply ((Noise)) to the text so that it looks more real.
This is my result.
