Prize Label

This time, we will learn to create the famous prize label that is given to winners in parties, conventions, and so on. You can also use it in your website.

Open a new document (400×400px and white background).

Select ((Pen Tool)) and trace one of the sheets of the label.

Create a ((New layer)).

Press Ctrl + Enter in order to activate the selection and fill it in with black.

Double-click the layer to go to ((Blending Options)).

((Drop Shadow)).

((Gradient Overlay)). Use the following colors: #e80000 and #870202.

After saving the changes, duplicate the layer by pressing Ctrl + J.

Then, standing in the duplicated layer, go to ((Edit))-((Transform))-((Flip Horizontal)).

Create a ((New Layer)).

Select ((Shape Tool)) and, from the optios bar, look for “Seal”.

Apply the “Seal” in the document as it’s shown in the image below.

((Drop Shadow)).

((Gradient Overlay)). Use the following colors: #a39243 and #d3c954.

Ctrl + Click the label layer in order to activate the selection. Then go to ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)) and choose the ((Substract From Selection)) style (observe the arrow in the following image) and reduce the selection of the label to 1/4.

Create another ((New Layer)). With the previous selection active, apply a gradient from white to transparent. If it looks too shinny, reduce the ((Fill)) to the layer.

After you finish designing the label, this is the result.
