Plasma Text
Tutorial in Basics, Effects, In Text
In this new lesson, we will learn to create an undulated text with a liquid style using fractals brushes. To create the text, we will use ((Layer Styles)), such as: ((Drop Shadow)), ((Inner Glow)), ((Bevel and Emboss)), and the filter ((Twirl)).
Open a new document (1300×1000px and black background).
Write the text using the font Doggy in white. If you don’t have it, you can download it from here here.
Rasterize the text by going to ((Layer))-((Rasterize))-((Type)).
Before going on, download and install this BRUSH.
Choose white as the main color.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Apply the brush you just installed. If you want, you can transform it with ((Free Transform)) (Ctrl + t).
Ctrl + Click the layer to activate the selection of the smoke.
Select ((Gradient Tool)), ((Radial Gradient)), and trace a gradient using the colors #ff6e02, #ffff00, and #ff6e02.
Place the smoke layer above the text layer.
Invert the text color. ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Invert)).
Change the smoke layer mode to ((Hard Light)).
Then stand in the text layer and go to ((Filter))-((Distort))-((Twirl)). Angle: 55ยบ.
Double click the layer to open the ((Layer Styles)) window.
((Drop Shadow)).
((Inner Glow)).
((Bevel and Emboss)).
Accept the changes.
As you will see, the text doesn’t look good at all. So change the layer mode to ((Linear Dodge)).
Well, this is the final result. I hope you liked it.
