We will apply an interesting effect to an old school font that you can find at www.dafont.com. To the font, we will apply ((Clouds)), ((Levels)), ((Bevel and Emboss)), ((Gradient Overlay)), ((Gaussean Blur)), and ((Hue/Saturation)).
Open a new image, 500×300px, and black background.
Download the font Bifurk by clicking HERE and install it.
Write the text with the following characteristics.
Rasterize the text. ((Layer))-((Rasterize))-((Type)).
Ctrl + Click the layer to activate the selection.
Then go to ((Select))-((Modify))-((Expand)). 7px.
Create a ((New Layer)) and place it underneath the text.
Press D and X to reset the colors to black and white.
Go to menu ((Filter))-((Render))-((Clouds)).
Press Ctrl + F to repeat the filter ((Clouds)).
In the same layer, apply ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Levels)). Introcude the values that appear in the following image.
Deselect (Ctrl + D).
Double click the original text layer to apply ((Layer Styles)).
((Bevel and Emboss)).
Accept the changes.
Then go to ((Filter))-((Blur))-((Gaussean Blur)).
Now press Ctrl + U to apply ((Hue/Saturation)). Activate Colorize and enter the following values.
Finally, go to the original text layer and double click it in order to open the ((Layer Styles)) and apply ((Gradient Overlay)). The colors you will use for this gradient will be : #025b50 and #84f1e4.
Accept the changes to get this final result.
