Grid Effect
Tutorial in Basics, Drawing, Effects, In Photos
Let’s apply a grid effect to an image by using a ((Pattern)) with ((Overlay)) blending mode.
This is the image we will apply the effect to.
Leave the image for a moment and opena new document (10×10px and transparent background).
Since it is a very small document, zoom it on (3200%).
Select ((Pencil Tool)) with a 1px ((Brush)), color black. Now draw two lines, one to the left side and the other to the top (see the image below).
Then go to ((Edit))-((Define Pattern)), name it, and save it. Close the document.
Go back to the image.
Create a ((new layer)).
Go to ((Edit))-((Fill)), select your ((Pattern)) from the list.
After you applied the ((Pattern)), change the layer’s blending mode to ((Overlay)).
The effect is ready!
