Funny Abstract Wallpaper
Tutorial in Basics, Effects, Goodies
This is a weird but
funny abstract wallpaper. We will create some undulated shinny lines with bubbles all around them. We will use a bubble brush in order to get the right effect.
Open a new document (800×600px).
Fill it in with color #2a0900.
With ((Pen Tool)), try to recreate the trace that appears in the image below.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Press Ctrl + Enter to activate the selection and fill it in with any color.
To this layer, reduce the ((Fill)) to 0%.
Double click it and enter the following ((Layer Styles)).
((Inner Shadow)).
((Outer Glow)).
((Gradient Overlay)).
Save the changes.
Duplicate the layer (Ctrl + J) and place it to one of the flanks.
Duplicate the two layers and, with both selected, go to ((Edit))-((Transform))-((Flip Horizontal)) and with a little bit of rotation, place the lines as seen below.
Create a ((New Layer)) and reduce the ((Opacity)) to 50% .
Ctrl + Click each line to activate the selection and apply a soft brush paint to each one.
Create a ((New Layer)).
With a soft brush, color red, paint in the middle.
With ((Free Transform)) (Ctrl +T), stretch the paint horizontally.
Create another ((New Layer)).
Repeat the last two steps with white color.
Change the layer style to ((Overlay)).
Before going on, download this bubble BRUSH.
Create a ((New Layer)), apply the same ((Layer Styles)) you applied to the lines. Then apply the new bubble, with different sizes, over the lines.
