Folded Magazine Paper Effect
Tutorial in Basics, Effects, Goodies, In Photos
Hello everyone! Today I will show you a simple way of creating the effect of a folded paper, in this case, a magazine. You just need tho have the front of a magazine which, of course, I will provide you wilth. You will also apply ((Gradient Overlay)), ((Drop Shadow)), ((Free Transform)), and you will also need to know how to use ((Polygonal Lazzo Tool)).
Create a new document, 990×1240px.
Fill in the background with color #d6d4d3.
Download the front of the “People” magazine by clicking HERE and copy it into the document.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Select ((Polygonal Lazzo Tool)) and trace the doubling in the inferior right side of the front.
Fill in the selection with any color, I used black.
Pres Ctrl + T to open ((Free Transform)) and rotate the doubling about 180ยบ
With ((Polygonal Lazzo Tool)) create a selection identical to the original position.
Once you have created the selection, stand in the front layer and press delete.
Double lick the layer with the doubling to apply ((Layer Styles)).
((Gradient Overlay)). Use these colors: #969696 and white.
Accept the changes.
Now go to ((Edit))-((Transform))-((Warp)) to deform the doubling.
Double click the layer to apply ((Drop Shadow)).
Select all the layers except for the background one and press Ctrl + E to unify the layers.
Double click the unified layer and apply ((Drop Shadow)).
Finally, go to ((Edit))-((Transform))-((Perspective)) to give some perspective.
This is my final result.
