Drawing Homer Simpson

We will draw one of the best Simpson’s characters, Homer Simpson. You will have to create traces and contours and then fill them in. The, with ((Magic Wand Tool)), we will select areas like the outfit and skin to color them. We will the add some bevels and shadows to the character.
Open a new document, 260×380px, and white background.
Select ((Pen Tool)) and trace Homer’s contour. I enabled this IMAGE for you to use it as reference when it comes to creating the contour.
Now select ((Brush Tool)), 2px, and ((Hardness)) 0%.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Choose black as foreground color.
Go to ((Path)).
Right click the trace layer and select ((Stroke Path)), ((Brush)), and accept.
This is how it will look after applying the changes.
Go to ((Path)) and click ((Create new path)).
Select ((Pen Tool)) and start completing the inner traces of Homer.
When you draw the 2 hairs, and then the eyes, press ESC to change the trace.
Once you hace create the traces, select ((Brush Tool)), 1px, ((Hardness)), 0%.
Go to ((Path)), right click the inner traces, choose ((Stroke Path)), ((Brush)), and accept.
This will be the result.
Let’s color Homer.
Stand in the layer you traced.
Select ((Magic Wand Tool)), ((Tolerance)), 20%. Verify that ((Anti-alias)) and ((Contiguous)) are activated.
We will start coloring the skin, so select ((Magic Wand Tool)) and click the areas where you will see the skin. Press and hold Shift to add selection.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Choose #FBD800 as the foreground color.
Once you have the skin selections marked, choose ((Paint Bucket Tool)) and fill in the areas.
Repeat the same procedure to paint the pants, with color #43a0ff, and the bear, with #CFAE67.
Fill in the shoes with #2C4541.
Fill in the small triangle in the right shoe with #111614.
Choose black as the foreground color.
Then select ((Ellipse Tool)) and draw the eyes.
For the following step, you will need to be patient and precise.
Select ((Pen Tool)) and start creating the skin shadows.
Remember that by pressing Ctrl + Enter you can transform the trace into selection.
Fill in the selections with color #eca500.
Repeat the previous step to draw the shadows of the t-shirt. Fill it in with color #d9eeef.
Now create the shadows of the shoes. Fill them in with #131917.
Now the pants. Fill them in with color #d9eeef.
Finally, the beard. Fill it in with color #936213.
Create a ((New Layer)) and place it between the Homer’s layer and the background one.
Well, the last step will consist in creating the shadow in the floor.
Select ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)) and create a selection as the one you see in the following image.
Fill it in with color #c5cdd0.
