Drawing Bloody Saw Blade

This is an amazing tutorial in which you will learn to create a bloody saw. In order to draw it, we will useĀ  ((Polygon Tool)) and, to give some effects we will use ((Drop Shadow)), ((Color Overlay)), ((Gradient Overlay)), ((Inner Shadow)), ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)), ((Free Transform)), ((Noise)), and a brush with blood that is available for you to download it. Shall we begin?

Open a new document, 300×300px, and white background.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Choose black as foreground color.

Select ((Polygon Tool)) with the values that appear pointed with a red arrowin the following image and draw it.

Select ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)) + Alt + Shift (it grows proportionally from the center) and trace a circle a little bit bigger that the polygon.

Now trace another circle even smaller than the previous one and type ((Subtract From Selection)). Observe the following image.

With the 2 selections active, go to ((Filter))-((Distort))-((Twirl)).

Double click the saw layer to open the ((Layer Styles)) window and apply ((Gradient Overlay)). For this gradient use these colors: #afafae, #dae6f4, #d8e7f5, #dae6f4, and #afafae.

Accept the changes.

Trace a circular selection as the one that appears below.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Then go to ((Edit))-((Stroke)).

Change the layer mode to ((Color Burn)).

Create a ((New Layer)), with ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)) trace a circle even smaller.

Go to ((Edit))-((Stroke)) with the same values you used before but this time change the layer styles.

Duplicate this layer (Ctrl + J).

With ((Free Transform)) reduce the size a 15% compared to the original selection. Take a look at the results.

Stand in the saw.

With ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)) trace a small circle in the center of the saw.

Press delete.

Press D to reset the colors to black and white.

Create a ((New Layer)) and fill it in with black.

Then go to ((Filter))-((Noise))-((Add Noise)).

Ctrl + Click the saw layer to activate the selection.

Invert the selection. ((Select))-((Inverse)).

Press delete.

Change the layer style to ((Overlay)).

Download the brush with the stains by clicking HERE.

Choose color #d80707 as the foreground color.

Ctrl + Click the saw layer.

Create a ((New Layer)) and paint the blood stains!

Then change the layer style to ((Multiply)).

Select the font Borealis. If you don’t have it, download it by clicking HERE.

Write a text with dark grey.

Select the entire text and click the button ((Create Warped Text)) placed in the options bar in the superior part of the document, and place it in the text with with an arc style.
