Dollar Sign
This is a simple and quick tutorial in which you will create a symbol we all like, and some of us, unfortunately don’t see quite often…like me : (
Open a new document, 400×400px, transparent background.
To begin, we will create the background. Choose blue and light blue from the color palette. Trace a diagonal ((Reflected Gradient)).
Write the “$” sign with the font Arial, Regular, Size: 180px.
Standing in the text layer, go to ((Layer))-((Layer Style))-((Blending Options)).
Ctrl + Click the text layer to activate the selection.
Then ((Select))-((Modify))-((Contract)). Radius: 2px
Create a ((new layer)) and fill in the new selection with white.
In a ((new layer)), move the selection 2px upwards, then stand in the layer you just filled in with white and press delete.
You just need to reduce the ((opacity)) to 60%.
