Let’s apply a diagonal lines effect on an image by creating a ((Pattern)).
Let’s use this image.
Leave the image for a moment and create a new document (6×6px and transparent background).
At first sight you will think it is impossible to work with the document. For that reason you will need to zoom on it to 3200%.
Choose #d89f96 as the primary color.
Selecct ((Pencil Tool)) and draw a siagonal line as shown below.
Then ((Edit))-((Define Pattern)), name it, and save it.
Close the document.
Go back to the image.
Create a ((new layer)).
Go to ((Edit))-((Fill)), select the ((Pattern)) you haver previously saved.
Change the layer mode to ((Multiply)).
