Creating Spiral of Shinny Light
Tutorial in Basics, Effects, Goodies
In this lesson you will learn to create a spiral with a special shinny light effect. It’s a very easy tutorial in which you will only apply a few filters: ((Lens Flare)), ((Polar Coordinates)), and some layer styles and ((Transform)).
Open a new document, 400×400px, and black background. Go to menu ((Filter))-((Render))-((Lens Flare)).
Now go to ((Filter))-((Distort))-((Polar Coordinates)): Rectangular To Polar.
Duplicate this layer (Ctrl + J).
Change the layer style to ((Lighten)).
Then rotate it. ((Image))-((Rotate Canvas))-((90ยบ CW)).
Repeat the 3 previous step to complete the entire circle (duplicate, layer style, transform).
Go to ((Layer))-((Flatten Image)) to unify the layers.
Duplicate this layer (Ctrl + J) and change the layer style to ((Lighten)).
Finally press Ctrl + T to activate ((Free Transform)) and rotate the duplicated layer some grades in order to get something like what you see in the following image.
Very easy! I hope you liked it.
