Creating Metallic Web Interface
This tutrial is good for those who are interested in the creation of web interfaces. We will use ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)), ((Dodge Tool)), layer styles, ((Noise)), ((Inner Shadow)), and ((Bevel and Emboss)).
I already have the background. You can download it by clicking HERE.
Open the image in Photoshop.
Select ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)) and trace a rectangle as the one you see below.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Now go to ((Edit))-((Stroke)).
Then select ((Dodge Tool)), Midtones, Exposure: 100%, and paint using different sizes, the borders of the triangle so that it has a metallic look.
Create a ((New Layer)).
With ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)) trace a rectangle inside the other one.
Fill it in with color #494949.
Now to this new rectangle, apply some noise. ((Filter))-((Noise))-((Add Noise)).
Double click the layer to apply ((Layer Styles)).
((Inner Shadow)).
((Bevel and Emboss)).
Accept the changes.
Duplicate the layer (Ctrl + J).
Remove the ((Layer Styles)).
Now select ((Dodge Tool)) and paint several times the superior left area of the triangle.
Change the layer style to ((Overlay)).
Reduce the ((Opacity)) to 20%.
Adding some more text details, I got this result.
