Creating Golden Coins

Let’s create some golden coins. We will use ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)) , ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)), ((Gradient Overlay)), ((Stroke)), and ((Shape Tool)).
Open a new document, 400×400px, and white background.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Select ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)) and draw a selection as the one you see below, It will be the frontal part of the coin.
Fill in the selection with black.
Double click the layer and apply ((Layer Styles)).
((Gradient Overlay)).For this gradient use: #e5b614 #e5b614 and #ffea00.
((Stroke)). The colors are: #e5b614 and #ffea00.
Accept the changes.
Create a ((New Layer)).
With ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)), draw a rectangle as the one you see below.
Fill it in with white.
The double click the layer to open the ((Layer Styles)) and apply ((Gradient Overlay)). For the gradient use these colors: #df9a14, #fce100, #df9a14, and #fce100.
Accept the changes and see the result.
Now, with ((Move Tool)), move the rectangle upwards as the following image shows.
Ctrl + Click the first layer you created (the front of the coin) to activate the selection.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Fill it in with black.
Right click the name of the rectangle layer and choose ((Copy Layer Styles)) from the drop down menu.
Right click the name of the oval layer and choose ((Past Layer Styles)).
With ((Move Tool)) move this layer downwards.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Choose black as the foreground color.
Select ((Shape Tool)) and from the options bar, above the document, choose the crown.
Apply the crown as shown in the following image.
Change the layer style to ((Overlay)).
Select all the layers except for the background one and drag them to the ((Create a New Layer)) to duplicate the coin.
You can use ((Free Transform)) (Ctrl + T) to rotate it.
Finally stand int the background layer, draw a selection as the one that appears below, and trace a vertical linear gradient (light grey to dark grey).
Select the remaining white area and trace another linear gradient, this time use lighter greys.
This is the final result.
