Creating Colorful Price Labels

Tutorial in Basics, Designing, Drawing, Web

These are great and colorful price labels which you will be able to use as a web resource. They have a clean, attractive design. We will use ((Shape Tool)) to trace the label’s contour, ((Drop Shadow)), ((Gradient Overlay)), ((Stroke)), and ((Gradient Tool)).

Open a new document, 600×600px, and white background.

Double click the background layer to apply ((Gradient Overlay)). You will use these colors: #b6dffd, #d8f0fc, #b9e2f6 and #e0f3fa.

Accept the changes.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Select ((Shape Tool)) and, from the options, choose the label you see below. Fill it in with any color.

Double click the layer to apply ((Layer Styles)).

((Drop Shadow)).

((Gradient Overlay)). Use these colors #eb3dee and #ffc1fe.

((Stroke)).

Accept the changes.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Ctrl + Click the label layer to activate the selection.

Then ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)), ((Intersect With Selection)) trace a circle in order to obtain a final solution.

Trace a gradient from white to transparent.

Finally, write the price to the label. I used the font Berlin Sans.

Standing in the text layer, go to ((Layer))-((Layer Style))-((Blending Options)).

((Drop Shadow)).

((Gradient Overlay)). Use these colors #c5c5c5, #f3f3f3, #e1e1e1, #f1f1f1, and #ffffff.

((Stroke)).

Accept the changes and…done!

These can be different labels, with different colors.
