Creating a Window Reflection
Tutorial in Basics, Designing, Effects, Goodies, In Photos
Let’s recreate the look of a house window, its frames, interior area, and the exterior reflection. You just need 2 images: one can be the image of a living room, bed room, or something like that, and the other one can be a landscape, so that you can recreate the outdoors sight.
We will work with these images:
Interior sight.
Exterior sight.
The first thing you will do is to open the image with the exterior landscape.
Select ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)), ((Add To Selection)), and draw the window frames. Take a look at the following image.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Fill in the selection with white.
Double click the frames layer to apply ((Blending Options)) or go to ((Layer))-((Layer Style))-((Blending Options)).
((Drop Shadow)).
((Inner Shadow)).
((Bevel and Emboss)).
The frame should look like this.
Double click the layer with the landscape image, select ((Color Overlay)), and apply the following values.
Now place the image with the landscape between the 2 frames and the interior sight. Take a look at the layers’ palette in the following image.
Finally, reduce the ((opacity)) to 25%.
This is the final result.
