Creating a Red Chili

Today, I will show you to create a red chili using ((Dodge Tool)) and ((Burn Tool)) in some simple steps.

Open a new document (350×300px and white background).

Select ((Pen Tool)) and trace the chili contour.

Press Ctrl + Enter to transform the trace into selection.

Create a ((New Layer)) and fill in the new selection with #FD753E.

Now select ((Burn Tool)), ((Shadows)), and draw a shade in the borders of the chili.

Then with ((Dodge Tool)), ((Highlights)), apply some shines as shown in the following image.

Double click the layer to apply ((Drop Shadow)).

Now with ((Pen Tool)) trace the tail contour.

Press Ctrl + Enter to activate the selection.

Create a ((New Layer)).

Fill in the new selection with #03ad51.

Finally select ((Burn Tool)), ((Shadows)), and draw the tail shade as shown in the following image.

You can also duplicate the layers and duplicate them with ((Free Transform)) (Ctrl + T).
