Colorful Bubbles Invasion
Tutorial in Basics, Designing, Drawing
In this tutorial we will create a big colorful bubbles invasion. To create the background we will use ((Gradient Tool)) and the filter ((Texturizer)), and to design the bubbles we will use ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)), ((Gradient Overlay)), and ((Stroke)).
Open a new document, 800×600px, and transparent background.
Select ((Gradient Tool)), ((Radial Gradient)), to trace a gradient, using the colors #4D799E and #122D43.
The gradient line’s trayect is pointed with a red arrow.
Now apply ((Filter))-((Texture))-((Texturizer)).
With ((Elliptical Marquee Tool)), draw a circular selection as the one you see below.
Fill it in with black.
Double click the layer to open ((Layer Styles)) and apply ((Gradient Overlay)). For this gradient use: #ceb959 and #000000.
TO move the radial gradient downwards, you will have to be in the ((Gradient Overlay)) mode, click and hold the ball and you will see how the gradient moves towards the side we want.
((Stroke)).
Accept the changes.
Let’s add some shine to the ball:
Now select ((Pen Tool)) and create a trace as the one you see below.
Press Ctrl + Enter to transform the trace into selection.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Fill in the selection with white.
Double click the layer to apply ((Layer Styles)).
((Blending Options)), reduce the ((Fill)) to 0%.
((Gradient Overlay)). Use these colors: #ffffff to transparent…
…and accept the changes.
Select the layers that form the bubble and drag them into the ((Create a New Layer)) to duplicate them.
I recommend you to place the original layers in a ((New Group)). In order to create a news group, click the button ((Create a New Group)) located in the ((Layers)) drop down menu.
Double click the duplicated bubble layer and change the ((Gradient Overlay)). Use these colors #c12810 and #000000.
Accept the changes.
Duplicate (Ctrl + J) the layers that form the bubble 4 times and then modify the colors to ((Gradient Overlay)).
BLUE BUBBLE: #5961ce and #000000.
GREEN BUBBLE: #3ed461 and #000000.
VIOLET BUBBLE: #c459ce and #000000.
GREY BUBBLE: #9b9b9b and #000000.
You will see this result.
Note: You won’t see the blue bubble since it’s located in the ((Layers)) drop down menu.
Duplicate the layers much more times and, with ((Free Transform)) (Ctrl + T), play with the sizes.
Now select all the layers except for the background, and press Ctrl + E to unify them into an independent layer.
Reduce the ((Opacity)) of the unified layer to 80%.
Finally, duplicate the unified layer (Ctrl + J).
Select it and place it underneath the original one.
Reduce the ((Opacity)) to 10% and move the bubbles 15px up and 10px to the right.
Done! Our bubbles invasion is ready!
