Changing the Hair Color

Useful and simple technique to change the hair color in Photoshop. The key of this tutorial will be the use of ((Quick Mask Mode)) and ((New Fill Layer)).
Open the image of the person you want to change the hair color to.
Now select a brush, hardness: 20%, and the size depending on the image you have. Press Q to activate ((Quick Mask Mode)) and paint all around the lady’s hair contour. If by any chance you commit a mistake, use ((Erase Tool)) to erase. Take a look at the following image.
Fill the entire area using the thickest brush.
Press Q again to go out of ((Quick Mask Mode)). You will see that the selection marks the background of the image. What you need to do is to select the hair, so go to ((Select))-((Inverse)).
Now you must paint the hair area.
Once you have done that, go to ((Layer))-((New Fill Layer))-((Solid Color)). A window with the layer properties will appear. Change the layer style to ((Soft Light)) and press ((accept)). You will see that a window asking you to choose the fill color will appear. Don’t forget to activate ((Colorize)). Choose the color and press ((Accept)).
