Changing the Color of a Flower with ((Hue/Saturation))

Tutorial in Basics, Effects, In Photos

This is a simple tutorial in which you will changeĀ  the color of a flower named Magnolia. We will simply duplicate the layer, adjust ((Hue/Saturation)), and create ((Layer Mask)).

Open the image of the flower. You can download it from HERE.

Duplicate the image (Ctrl + J).

Apply ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Hue/Saturation)). Activate ((Colorize)) and apply the following values.

Stand in the duplicated layer and click ((Add Vector Mask)) that appears pointed with a red arrow in the image below.

As you will see in the image above, the mask is filled in with white (visible). If you want to erase the layer, you will need to paint it with the opposite color: black. So select ((Brush Tool)), black, ((Hardness)): 50%, stand in the mask (pointed with a red arrow) and paint the central and exterior areas of the flower.

See how easy it was? This is my result:
