Changing the Brake Disc

If you notice that your vehicle’s brakes look ugly, don’t worry; by means of this Photoshop tutorial you will be able to add or change them to some good looking ones.

Open the vehicle’s image.

Now select ((Pen Tool)), and select the contours of the rims. Enlarge the image so that you cas see what I’m talking about.

Once you have finished the trace, press Ctrl + Enter to activate the selection.

With the selection active, press Ctrl + J to duplicate the selected element, in this case, the car rims.

Try to find a brake disc image in using an image finder.

With ((Pen Tool)), select the brake disc. Press Ctrl + Enter to activate the selection and then Ctrl + C to copy the selected element.

Go back to the car wheel document and press Ctrl + V so that you paste the brake disc.

Notice how the brake disc image is brighter than the other.

Go to ((Image))-((Adjustments))-((Brightness/Contrast)). Enter the values shown in the image below.

Place the brake disc layer in the middle of the selection you have duplicated and the image.

As you can see, the image was taken from another point of view. For that reason, we will need to modify the perspective. Go to ((Free Transform)) (Ctrl + T), right-click and choose ((Distort)). In this case, move the sliders towards the center. Once you have finished, press Enter.

Finally, press Ctrl + T  to reduce the brake disc size and arrange it properly.

Now you have a new brake disc without spending any money.
