Breaking a Photograph

If you have just broke up with your girlfriend, this tutorial will be of great help ; ). You will learn how to create an effect of a broken photograph.
Let’s work with this beautiful image, which we are going to tear apart.
To begin, unlock the layer; just double-click it.
Now select ((Polygonal Lazo Tool)) and trace the silgouette of the broken part. Take a look at the following image.
Once you finished the selection, press Delete.
Then go to ((Select))-((Modify))-((Expand)). (6px)
Now go to ((Filter))-((Distort))-((Ripple)). Use the following values.
With ((Polygonal Lazo Tool)), make a selection surrounding the lady and press Ctrl + J in order to send the lady to the new layer.
Let’s apply ((Drop Shadow)) to the lady’s layer. In order to do so, just double-click the layer.
Do the same with the man’s layer but, this time, use different values.
FInal result: we have torn them apart…what a pity!
