Abstract Electric Effect

This effect is about alectric rays. We will use filters such as ((Lens Flare)), ((Wave)), and some blending modes.

Open a new document (500×500 and black background).

Create a ((new layer)) and fill it in with black.

Go to ((Filter))-((Render))-((Lens Flare)). ((Brightness)): 100%, ((Lens Type)): 50-300mm.

Press Ctrl + T to activate ((Free Transform)). Reduce the layer’s height. Press Alt in order to reduce it proportionally.

Duplicate the layer and rotate ir 90º with ((Free Transform)).

To the two layers, change their blending mode to ((Lighten)).

Select this two layers and press Ctrl + E to unify them.

Then duplicate the unified layer and change the blending mode to ((Lighten)).

With ((Free Transform)), rotate it 45º.

Select the two layers and press Ctrl + E to unify them.

Apply ((Filter))-((Render))-((Wave)). Enter the values that appear in the following image.

Double click the layer to go to ((Blending Options)). Select the ((Color Overlay)) section with the following values.

This is the result.
