Windows Media Player 11 Buttons Bar
This is a cool tutorial, which will show you how to create a button bar with the WMA 11 style. Apply ((Rounded Rectangle Tool)), some ((Layer Styles)), and gradients.
Open a new document (600×120px and white background).
Create a ((New Layer)).
Select ((Rounded Rectangle Tool)), with the values that appear in the following image. Fill it in with any color.
Double-click the layer in order to open the ((Blending Options)).
((Bevel and Emboss)).
((Gradient Overlay)). Use the following colors: #012255 and #000000.
((Stroke)).
It should look like this.
Crete a ((New Layer)) and apply the following gradient.
Ctrl + Click the layer in order to activate the selection, and with ((Gradient Tool)), trace a linear gradient from bottom to top using the following values.
It will look like this.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Then, with ((Line Tool)), trace a horizontal white line in the inferior part if the bar.
Change the layer style to ((Overlay)). Enlarge the image size so that you have this result.
Create a ((New Layer)) and do the following:
Ctrl + Click the layer to activate the selection. Then go to ((Select))-((Transform Selection)) and reduce, vertically, the selection to half.
Now, with ((Gradient Tool)), trace a gradient from white to transparent. If after you do so, it looks very white, lower the ((opacidad)) until you get a result similar to the image shown below.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Select ((Rounded Rectangle Tool)), ((Radius)): 5px, and draw a button as the one that appears below.
Double-click the layer to go and edit ((Blending Options)).
((Inner Shadow)).
((Gradient Overlay)). Use these colors: #16359d y #4769db.
((Stroke)).
After you save the changes, it will look like this.
Ctrl + Click the layer of the small button in order to activate the selection.
Create a ((New Layer)).
Then trace a linear gradient from top to bottom using color #10C2FD to transparent.
With ((Erase Tool)), ((Hardness)): 0%, ((opacity)): 30%, and ((Flow)): 20% erase part of the gradient in the superior corners of the button.
If you want, you can add the following details. I made them with ((Line Tool)) and ((Polygonal Lazo Tool)).
Then create a ((New Layer)) Ctrl + Click the small button layer in order to activate the selection and, with ((Rectangular Marquee Tool)), ((Subtract From Selection)), reduce 1/3 of the selection. Apply a gradient from white to transparent. If it looks very white, reduce the ((Opacity)).
I added more details. With ((Line Tool)) I draw a white line and a black line as well and, with ((Erase Tool)), I created a transparent effect.
Finally, with the Verdana font, I added the title to the buttons.
Our fantastic button bar is ready!
